Less than 2 percent of 'Sarbox' corporate whistleblowers win inside federal bureaucracy

Federal laws designed to protect corporate whistleblowers who come forward to report criminal fraud and other wrong-doing have so far largely been ineffective due to weak enforcement efforts in various government agencies. This situation demonstrates, once again, that it is not enough to pass legal reforms to protect the public interest; there must also be equally rigorous enforcement power written into the legislation.

  1. Both sides ignore the law. I must wonder though, how many "loyal Bushies" who came in as political appointees, and switched to being "non-political" "career" people are steering things this way.
That said, it is sad to see that President Obama has continued most of the secrecy from previous administrations.
